As the Controller, you will be responsible for performing and reviewing month-end closings, preparing monthly financial statements and explaining budget variances while overseeing accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable and payroll processing on the system. In addition, you will ensure a rigorous follow-up of inventories and that they are properly accounted for and valued in the financial system. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal cash and currency management, taking charge of the cost management process, preparing, analyzing and reconciling government remittances (DAS and GST/QST/HST) as well as producing the various internal and external financial reports. Moreover, you will take charge of and ensure the follow-up of the budget process, support managers in the implementation and follow-up of their budget, supervise the preparation of the external audit file and act as a resource person for the annual audit process. You will also be responsible for preparing various tax and SR&ED credit reports, supporting management in the implementation of special projects, including the search for financing and available financial aid, and implementing and monitoring internal control procedures. In addition, you will collaborate in the development of decision support tools and performance indicators. Finally, you will have the opportunity to lead the project of acquisition and implementation of the accounting system (ERP) in addition to ensuring optimal management thereafter.


CPA (or pending) with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Controller, who has a good knowledge of costing and is proficient with Excel. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate, who knows how to put processes in place and who has a creative spirit and a taste for challenge. The candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced SME environment and be able to get involved in acquisitions.
