As a Senior Analyst, Complex Accounting, you will be responsible for performing technical research in U.S. GAAP on complex accounting issues, which will include analysis of new contracts, segment reporting, asset impairment assessments, stock-based compensation, asset retirement obligations, leases, etc. In addition, you will prepare documents related to the company's accounting position on complex issues and non-routine transactions. Moreover, you will support the complex accounting team in the preparation of financial statement disclosures including: review and impairment testing of long-lived assets and goodwill; significant and emerging accounting policies; business combinations, asset disposals and closing costs; commitments and contingencies; derivatives and hedging; etc. You will also advise and train segment managers and accounting staff (sales and corporate) on the application of U.S. GAAP and assist in the implementation and maintenance of the company's financial policies and procedures. Also, you will participate in the preparation and review of independent financial statements and statutory reports, participate in internal control and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance activities, and determine the accounting treatment of non-routine transactions such as acquisitions, dispositions and closings.

Perfectly bilingual CPA with a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position in public financial accounting, financial reporting, consolidation, complex accounting and financial reporting in a public company, with advanced Excel skills. The ability to quickly understand accounting processes in an environment with multiple systems, multiple companies and multiple currencies is necessary. The candidate must have strong analytical skills, be a self-starter, able to work in a team environment, communicate effectively and adapt quickly to change. He/she must be able to make good decisions quickly based on experience and judgment. Knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS and SAP is an asset.
