Our client, a Canadian leader in its sector with international activities, is looking for a Project Manager to completely overhaul the finance function, with systems to be enhanced and integrated with a recent acquisition. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all financial projects are captured, controlled and managed to completion. The target candidate is hands-on and very strong in execution. You'll have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where people are highly valued, and where we've placed two candidates who thrive in it. This position is offered in hybrid mode and requires mobility outside Quebec for a maximum of 25%.
As Project Manager, you'll report to the Finance Transformation Director we've placed, who is a very sympathetic, dynamic and competent person who allows latitude and enjoys having fun at work. You'll be rigorous and organized, managing five projects simultaneously. These include: a finance department transformation project, a system integration project, a D365 Finance & Operations optimization project, a governance project and an SAP to D365 project.
You'll ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget and on budget. You will manage all project documents, from project charter, budgeting, work breakdown structure (WBS), change requests, close-out, etc. You will also identify problems to be solved during projects and facilitate solutions.
You will manage, motivate and coach project team members to ensure completion of respective tasks, and act as a link between the project team and senior management. You will also exploit your mentoring and coaching skills with team members.
In addition, you will ensure project communication, including status reporting, risk management, issue escalation, etc.
You will have the opportunity to build up a large network of contacts, as you will be responsible for managing relationships with suppliers and consultants involved in projects.
