As Controller, your main mandate will be to manage the company's complete accounting cycle and support the Finance Director on various company projects. You will manage all accounting and payroll activities.
You will be responsible for planning, preparing and coordinating the annual budget exercise, preparing financial statements and other month-end and year-end files, as well as preparing monthly analyses and explanations of variances.
You will also manage cash flow, review accounting, auditing, budgetary control, collection and financing methods, and make improvements where necessary. You will ensure that investment projects are controlled and verified with regard to their profitability (capital budget monitoring).
You will prepare and coordinate the year-end external audit with the external auditors, manage tax issues in cooperation with accounting firms and tax advisors, and manage the accounting team (7 people).
You will participate in the implementation of an ERP system.
Bilingual candidate with at least 5 years of experience (an asset if as a controller) who is strong at the operational level (an asset if experience in the manufacturing or retail sector). We're looking for a dynamic, proactive candidate who can take charge of his or her own work and is highly autonomous. He/she must have excellent Excel skills and be highly organized to manage his/her time and meet deadlines.
