We have the perfect opportunity for you to work as a General Accounting Manager in a company with a noble mission in the entertainment industry! You'll report to a very dynamic and understanding manager, who's the exact opposite of a micro-manager.  The latter gives a lot of latitude and trust. As Head of General Accounting, you will be responsible for preparing month-end, quarterly and annual financial documents, as well as assisting with the rendering of accounts. 

You will also provide managers with the information they need to support operational decisions, contributing to continuous improvement in the presentation and dissemination of information. 

You will be responsible for certain corporate provisions, review monthly explanations of financial variances, ensure that the accounting process complies with IFRS standards, and be responsible for maintaining the chart of accounts and groupings for presentation purposes.

You will also implement controls on financial systems to produce complete and accurate financial data, liaise with different levels of government on tax and accountability issues, and participate in the development and implementation of benchmarking-based performance norms and standards.


You will participate in budget presentations and implement auditors' recommendations. You'll also be responsible for motivating and developing employees through coaching, appraisals and ongoing training.

Bilingual CPA (or pending) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (an asset if in the entertainment industry), who has already worked as an assistant controller and who has experience in team management. We're looking for someone who's hands-on, willing to put in the work and very resourceful. He or she will be motivated to develop and evolve within the company, and will be keen to take on new challenges. The successful candidate will be autonomous and energetic.
