For an SME in the manufacturing sector, with several divisions in Canada, you will work as a controller and you will be the right hand of the general manager who is an open-minded manager, who likes to work with autonomous people, focused on teamwork and results. You will join a team of passionate people with an entrepreneurial spirit and many challenges await you.



Your tasks will initially consist of: supervising the work of the accounting technician, the billing clerk, the IT manager and the continuous improvement coordinator. You will also analyze the company's budget forecasts and ensure that expenses and earnings are balanced (company and government). You will oversee the balance sheets and financial statements and will be responsible for producing the month-end and quarter-end reports (corporate and internal).


In a second phase, you will handle inter-company processes and company expenses and then act as the person responsible between the banking institution and the company (account management, check retrieval and electronic transfers). You will be responsible for all financial and governmental responsibilities (alimony, taxes, corporate laws) as well as the production of payroll and related reports. You will prepare and actively participate in departmental director meetings. In addition, you will manage, train and evaluate staff. You will implement continuous improvement projects. Finally, you will be responsible for justifying any variances from the departmental budget and performing any other related duties.



Bilingual executive with a CPA designation and a minimum of 5 years experience in management accounting and/or financial accounting in a manufacturing sector. Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of Sage and Hyperion accounting systems is required. The ideal candidate is an intrapreneur, hands-on and is able to position themselves as a strategic partner.
