For an NPO that has been around for 30 years and puts people and their well-being at the heart of its business, you will work as an accounting manager.  You will report to a very personable, people-oriented manager who listens to his people and ensures their well-being. 
This is a position that offers an opportunity to make a difference in the company. 



Within the position, you will have the chance to lead the accounting department in managing the full accounting cycle. You will be responsible for the management and reconciliation of all revenues (multiple platforms), monthly and budgetary analyses. You will also do bank reconciliations, revenue will prepare monthly and annual financial statements. You will manage the year-end file with the accountant, with the auditors and you will also manage the payroll and benefits (25 employees). You will be responsible for: monitoring accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, liaising with suppliers and customers as well as with partner organizations. You will be responsible for maintaining accounting controls by recommending policies and procedures. Then, you will collaborate with the managers in the development and follow-up of annual and monthly budgets as well as the preparation of financial documents to be presented to the Board of Directors.  Also, you ensure compliance with legal and fiscal requirements in matters of finance, enforcing the requirements and advising management on the necessary actions. For the purpose of continuous improvement of the quality, efficiency and accuracy of accounting and tax data, you will recommend technical, financial or technological changes. Finally, you will contribute to the team effort by performing results and related work as required.


Candidate with 5 years of experience in an accounting position with an advanced mastery of Excel and knowledge of Sage 50 (asset). The profile sought is a team player, who adapts easily and who cares about the well-being and health of people.
