You will report to a VP of Finance who gives a lot of latitude, who remains available and who is very transparent. The Assistant Controller will have a management scope of 3 people and will be responsible for hiring and coaching employees under his/her leadership to foster collaborative practices.
You will be responsible for planning and directing all operational functions related to the company's corporate accounting as well as preparing financial statements and the budget process.
In addition, you will perform monthly analysis of results and report your observations to the executives of the companies concerned. You will also ensure the presence of an adequate internal control in each of the sites.
You will be responsible for developing KPI's and other management information for the executives, monitoring financial targets and preparing forecasts (cash flow and income statements).
You will have the opportunity to make process and organizational improvements to optimize financial operations. You will also be responsible for the implementation of Epicor's financial module within all companies of the Group.
In addition, you will be responsible for the supervision and development of the accounting teams at each site, as well as coordinating the activities of external auditors.
Finally, you will be responsible for monitoring accounting software and proposing innovative solutions that will benefit the organization.
We are looking for a CPA who wants to contribute to the growth and profitability of a small business and who will want to have visibility since he/she will be in contact with the different divisions.

Candidate with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the manufacturing, construction or engineering sector, including a few years in an SME. We are looking for a dynamic solution-oriented intrapreneur who is very strong at the operational level. He/she must be hands on and a good leader to be able to act as a change agent. He/she will have good leadership skills and will be able to transfer his/her skills to his/her team. They will also be good at communicating with multidisciplinary stakeholders. A CPA designation is an asset.
