Description

We are offering you the opportunity to join a recognized Quebec-based technology company in the SaaS industry as a Manager, Revenue Accounting & Billing. With sustained growth and a presence among thousands of companies worldwide, the organization stands out for its entrepreneurial culture, innovative approach, and commitment to integrating technology and artificial intelligence into the way it operates. You will report to the Director, Finance, a hands-on, positive, and motivating leader, and will manage a team of three professionals. You will be responsible for a strategic scope covering revenue accounting, billing, collections, and related systems. You will work in a dynamic technology environment where autonomy, continuous improvement, and automation are highly valued, with the latitude to optimize processes and make a tangible impact on financial operations. The position is offered in a hybrid work model.

As Manager, Revenue Accounting & Billing, you will be responsible for the entire financial cycle following the close of a sale, from subscription management and billing through revenue recognition and cash collection. In a SaaS and subscription-based environment, you will ensure that every new agreement, renewal, and contract amendment is accurately processed, billed, recognized, and collected.

You will lead a high-performing team of three professionals responsible for the day-to-day activities related to billing, cash application, accounts receivable, and collections. Your role will intentionally cover a broad scope combining revenue accounting, billing operations, and financial systems, allowing you to oversee the entire process and address issues at their source.

You will be responsible for the integrity of subscription revenue and the month-end close process related to revenue, including journal entries, deferred revenue, reconciliations, and variance analysis. You will ensure the quality and reliability of financial information so that accurate and complete data is available for FP&A reviews and financial reporting activities.

You will also act as the functional owner of the revenue management environment within NetSuite, particularly Advanced Revenue Management (ARM). You will be responsible for system reliability, data integrity, and continuous process improvement. In particular, you will work to optimize the integration between the CRM and ERP to identify and resolve issues at their source, reduce manual intervention, and contribute to improving DSO and the overall collections process.

You will oversee the complete order-to-invoice cycle across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, timely processing, and compliance with indirect tax requirements. You will ensure compliance with processes related to Avalara and Canadian tax filings while working with various teams to continuously improve operational efficiency.

A significant component of your role will also focus on automation and the use of artificial intelligence. You will identify repetitive tasks that can be automated, integrate AI into the team’s workflows, and develop more efficient ways to identify anomalies and exceptions, enabling the team to dedicate more time to higher-value activities.

Finally, you will participate in several strategic projects and Finance transformation initiatives, including tax optimization projects related to a U.S. entity and a review of the revenue technology stack. You will act as a central coordination point across the Finance, Revenue Operations, and Customer Success teams, contributing to the evolution of the systems, processes, and practices required to support the organization’s continued growth.
