Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing Quebec-based company in the food processing industry as a Finance & Optimization Business Partner. The organization is distinguished by its entrepreneurial mindset, agility, and ongoing commitment to improving its processes and systems. You will report directly to the CFO, a leader recognized for his mentoring approach and the trust he places in his team. Rather than relying on micromanagement, he empowers employees by providing the support, guidance, and tools necessary for their professional growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional seeking strong visibility with senior leadership while participating in transformation initiatives, financial consolidation, multi-currency operations, and the continuous improvement of business systems and processes. This position is offered in a hybrid work environment.

In this role, you will act as a financial business partner, working closely with leadership, operations, logistics, sales, and finance teams to support the organization’s growth and performance. You will develop a deep understanding of the business model, operational workflows, and key value drivers, enabling you to actively contribute to strategic decision-making.

A significant portion of the role will be dedicated to financial transformation and systems improvement initiatives. You will actively participate in the implementation of new technology solutions, including a financial system at the holding company level and a CTRM system within the operating business. You will be involved in all project phases, including testing, validation, go-live activities, and documentation, while ensuring the integrity, consistency, and reliability of financial information.

You will also play a central role in the production and analysis of consolidated financial information. Responsibilities include contributing to the design of intercompany processes, accounting and consolidation rules, and the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the group’s various entities. You will oversee intercompany transactions, support the annual audit process, and perform financial analyses to identify performance variances and opportunities for improvement.

Finally, you will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to provide high-quality financial information, analysis, and recommendations that support informed decision-making and business performance.

This role offers exceptional exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to contribute to transformation projects, financial consolidation, multi-currency operations, and the continuous improvement of systems, processes, and overall business performance.

Profile

Bilingual CPA with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in financial control and financial reporting within complex, transaction-driven environments. You possess strong expertise in financial consolidation, multi-currency accounting, intercompany reconciliations, and the preparation of financial statements.

Recognized for your attention to detail, discretion, and ability to thrive in evolving environments, you are comfortable working in ambiguous situations and under pressure. Experience with the implementation of financial systems is considered a strong asset, as is your ability to translate business requirements into practical and effective solutions.

You have advanced Excel skills and are comfortable working with BI tools, data analytics, and emerging technologies. Analytical and collaborative by nature, you are able to positively influence decision-making and support cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment.
