Description

Looking for a job in a strong, financially healthy and growing Quebec-based business? Interested in joining a company with an environmentally conscious mindset and an acquisition-driven strategy? We have the opportunity for you as Deputy Director, Treasury within a large international manufacturing organization. You will report to a highly results-driven manager with deep expertise in the industry. Given the company’s continuous growth, the environment is fast-paced, dynamic, and constantly evolving. The position is offered in a hybrid work model.

As Deputy Treasurer, you will play an active role in the deployment and structuring of the international treasury function. In a context of transformation and cultural evolution, the mandate focuses on standardizing processes, implementing appropriate tools, and continuously improving financial governance.

Cash management and global liquidity visibility are at the core of the role, with a very hands-on approach. You will be responsible for analyzing treasury positions, ensuring forecast reliability, and optimizing liquidity and financing to provide a clear and proactive view of cash flows. Efficient capital deployment, including cash pooling and investments, will directly support the group’s financial performance and growth.

Financial risk management is also a key responsibility, including FX exposures, banking and country risk, and hedging strategies. This requires the ability to develop practical, tailored recommendations aligned with operational realities in a multi-country environment.

The role also has a strong analytical and strategic component, including the production of treasury reports and dashboards that transform financial data into actionable recommendations for senior management. The objective is to support fast, informed decision-making aligned with business priorities.

Close collaboration with internal teams (finance, tax, operations, business units) and banking partners is essential to optimize costs, support growth initiatives, and ensure seamless integration of treasury considerations into strategic decisions.

You will also be actively involved in banking negotiations, the management of financial instruments (guarantees, letters of credit, financing), and the monitoring of financial conditions. Continuous improvement of reporting tools, development of performance KPIs, and participation in transformation initiatives (automation, TMS, process standardization) are also key parts of the role.

Finally, the position supports strong financial governance and compliance with internal policies, while contributing to a culture of rigor, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the treasury function.

Profile

Bilingual candidate with a minimum of 10 years of experience in treasury within an international, multisite, and multicurrency manufacturing environment, including hands-on exposure to treasury management, consolidation, and financing optimization.

The selected candidate will be expected to participate in financing activities and negotiations, including fundraising operations. A solid understanding of financial mechanisms and the ability to effectively engage with banking institutions are essential.

The role requires strong expertise in cash management and in both actual and forecast treasury analysis, as well as the ability to manage financial risks (FX, banking, and country risk) and recommend appropriate hedging strategies.

The ideal profile demonstrates strong business acumen, excellent analytical skills, and a solid understanding of international manufacturing environments. The individual is agile, proactive, and constructive, with a strong focus on results, performance, and value creation in a transformation context.
