Description

Our client, a renowned North American manufacturing leader, specialized in its field and supported by advanced technology, is seeking a Senior Costing Analyst. You will report to a highly regarded, people-oriented manager who is also strongly results-driven. As a Senior Costing Analyst, you will play a key role as a change agent by assessing current accounting operations related to production costs and inventories. You will contribute to the evaluation of internal controls, the identification of cost analysis improvement opportunities, and the implementation of concrete recommendations.

You will take ownership of month-end activities and overall financial reporting across multiple divisions, while contributing to the harmonization of practices and processes across all company sites. You will also participate in the implementation of an ERP deployment plan across the organization.

The role includes preparing and analyzing cost and inventory reports, performing variance analysis, and working closely with operations teams to identify root causes and improvement opportunities. You will also perform reconciliations and analysis of general ledger accounts related to costs and inventories, and develop and maintain financial and operational reporting for both internal and external stakeholders, including the Board of Directors and lenders.

Finally, you will contribute to the validation, documentation, and implementation of required controls related to inventory and production cost management, as well as the preparation of documentation required for external audits.

Profile

CPA, bilingual, with a minimum of 8 years of experience, including several years in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment, as well as expertise in managing complex inventories in a multi-site context. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of costing methods, financial and manufacturing ERP systems, and Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel. A strong understanding of ASPE and US GAAP standards is required, along with full professional fluency in both French and English.
