In this role, you will oversee the organization’s accounting and financial activities while acting as a business partner to internal teams and senior management. You will be responsible for the full month-end close process and the preparation of monthly financial statements, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial information while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
You will actively participate in the management of all accounting transactions and supervise the financial accounting team. You will play a key role in analyzing and understanding balance sheet accounts, performing variance analyses, monitoring the profitability of investment projects, and conducting various cost analyses. You will also contribute to the annual budgeting process and financial forecasting activities to support strategic decision-making.
A significant portion of the role will focus on the continuous improvement of financial tools, processes, and systems. You will be heavily involved in the recently implemented SAP environment, optimizing system utilization, developing new management reports, and automating low-value-added financial tasks. Working closely with operational teams, you will identify opportunities to improve efficiency and enhance the strategic value of financial operations.
The role also includes a strong focus on special projects and operational support. You will participate in a variety of strategic initiatives, including investment-related projects, business proposals, and the improvement of financial and operational practices. You will serve as a subject matter expert on accounting standards, taxation, sales taxes, customs duties, government tax credits, and financial assistance programs.
In addition, you will be involved in the preparation and follow-up of grant applications, particularly in the areas of research and development (R&D), investment tax credits, and various government programs supporting growth and innovation initiatives.
The position will require regular collaboration with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including the Soucy Shared Services Centre, external auditors, and members of senior management. You will work in an environment that offers close interaction with executive leadership and corporate teams, providing strong visibility into the organization’s strategic decisions and financial priorities.
Finally, you will prepare the annual audit file and serve as the primary contact for external auditors throughout the annual audit process. You will also contribute to the development of performance monitoring tools and the enhancement of financial controls to support the company’s continued growth and evolution.

Bilingual CPA with more than 5 years of experience in financial control and accounting management within a manufacturing environment. You possess strong expertise in the full accounting cycle, financial statement preparation, financial analysis, and the application of accounting standards. Experience in a public accounting firm is considered a strong asset.
Recognized for your attention to detail, autonomy, and leadership, you are able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced and evolving environment. You possess strong analytical skills, along with advanced proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
You communicate effectively with a variety of business partners and actively contribute to process improvements as well as the overall financial performance of the organization.
