We are offering you the opportunity to join a well-established and growing Quebec-based manufacturing company that has built a strong presence across the North American market over the years as an FP&A Manager. Recognized within its industry, the organization operates in a multi-site manufacturing environment and continues to grow by focusing on innovation, continuous improvement, and the evolution of its management practices. Reporting to the Senior Director, FP&A, you will be responsible for managing a team of analysts and will have the opportunity to contribute to various initiatives aimed at enhancing financial tools, processes, and practices. You will be given the autonomy to take ownership of your responsibilities and make a tangible impact on the organization’s performance and continued development. The position is offered in a hybrid work model.
As FP&A Manager, you will play a key role within the Finance team and will be responsible for financial planning, performance analysis, and decision support. Leading a team of FP&A analysts, you will combine leadership, analytical expertise, and close collaboration with business teams to enhance the quality of financial analysis and support the organization’s growth and profitability.
You will lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes. You will ensure the quality of assumptions, the reliability of financial data, and the accuracy of monthly phasing, while analyzing variances between actual results, budgets, and forecasts. You will also prepare and present monthly results, dashboards, and key performance indicators to management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
A significant portion of your role will involve partnering with the Sales and Business Development teams. You will analyze profitability by customer, product, market, and project, and constructively challenge the financial assumptions underlying commercial decisions. You will play an important role in protecting and improving margins by quickly identifying performance gaps and recommending concrete actions to address them.
You will also be responsible for pricing analysis and will contribute directly to the organization’s commercial strategies. You will oversee comparative selling price analyses, recommend pricing strategies tailored to different markets, and ensure rigorous monitoring of quotes, price lists, and discounts. In collaboration with the Operations Finance Business Partner, you will also analyze the impact of changes in manufacturing costs on commercial margins to provide a comprehensive view of profitability.
Your role will also require you to look beyond internal financial results. You will analyze changes in market share, industry trends, and competitive positioning to support strategic discussions. You will develop various scenarios, financial analyses, and business cases to evaluate investments, contracts, and growth initiatives, and present your recommendations to senior management.
As a manager, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and engaging a team of FP&A analysts. You will help raise the team’s analytical standards, deepen their understanding of business issues, and strengthen their presence and impact with internal stakeholders. Your role will therefore extend beyond overseeing the production of financial analyses: you will actively contribute to developing an FP&A function that is increasingly connected to operations and focused on supporting business decisions.
Finally, you will actively contribute to the evolution of financial processes, tools, and systems. You will ensure the integrity of financial and pricing data in SAP and identify opportunities to automate, simplify, and improve existing analytical models and processes. In an environment where Finance plays a strategic business-partnering role, you will help strengthen the quality of financial information, commercial discipline, and the organization’s ability to make informed decisions.
Bilingual professional with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration and 6 to 10 years of experience in FP&A, including at least 2 years of experience managing or supervising analysts. You bring strong expertise in budgeting, financial forecasting, modelling, and performance analysis, along with an excellent understanding of financial statements and KPIs. A CPA designation, experience in a manufacturing environment, and exposure to commercial finance or business partnering with Sales teams are considered strong assets.
An engaging leader and excellent communicator, you are able to influence managers, constructively challenge assumptions, and turn complex data into actionable recommendations. You combine strategic thinking, rigor, and strong business acumen, with the ability to understand the key drivers behind financial results and identify opportunities to improve performance. Comfortable working with ERP systems, particularly SAP, you also have a good knowledge of analytical tools such as Power BI and SAC, as well as an interest in artificial intelligence solutions applied to finance.
