Description

We are offering you the opportunity to join a fast-growing Quebec-based company in the food industry as an FP&A Analyst. Known for its distinctive concept and sustained growth, the organization is undergoing significant expansion of its network and continues to actively grow across Canada. It stands out for its entrepreneurial, dynamic, and innovation-driven culture, as well as its commitment to further structuring its practices and tools to support its continued development.

You will report to the Vice President of Finance, a leader who values trust, autonomy, and empowerment, enabling team members to develop quickly and take full ownership of their responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to have a tangible impact on business decisions and contribute to the development of the FP&A and business intelligence capabilities of a fast-growing company, where Finance plays an increasingly strategic role in driving network performance. This position is offered in a hybrid work model.

As an FP&A Analyst, you will play a strategic role within the Finance team by supporting the organization’s financial planning, performance analysis, and decision-making processes. As a true business partner, you will work closely with the Operations and Development teams, as well as various departments across the organization, to transform financial and operational data into actionable insights and recommendations aimed at improving network performance. Your role will combine FP&A, operational performance analysis, and business intelligence in an environment where data plays a central role in decision-making.

You will actively participate in the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and forward-looking analyses. You will develop and maintain financial models to assess performance, anticipate future trends, and support key business decisions. You will analyze variances between actual results, budgets, and forecasts to identify the main drivers behind performance and participate in monthly financial performance reviews. You will also prepare recurring and ad hoc analyses for management and support strategic initiatives through rigorous financial analysis.

A significant portion of your role will be dedicated to analyzing network performance. You will assess sales, food costs, labor costs, and profitability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. You will conduct profitability analyses by location, region, or market and work closely with the Operations and Development teams to understand performance variances and identify key financial and operational drivers. Your analyses will directly support decisions related to pricing, promotions, menu offerings, and various commercial initiatives.

You will also play an important role in developing the organization’s business intelligence and data analytics capabilities. You will develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and tools used to monitor key performance indicators. By leveraging data from various financial and operational systems, you will produce value-added analyses that help quickly identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement. You will also be responsible for validating and reconciling data and ensuring its integrity to guarantee the reliability of the information provided to business partners.

In collaboration with various departments, you will help translate business needs into effective and accessible reporting solutions. You will contribute to the automation of reporting and analytical processes, as well as the ongoing development of the organization’s business intelligence tools, with the objective of making financial and operational information more readily available and relevant to management.

Finally, you will actively contribute to continuous improvement and finance transformation initiatives. You will identify opportunities to optimize financial and operational processes, participate in the automation of analytical and reporting tools, and help implement practices aimed at improving data quality, reliability, and accessibility. Through your ability to transform data into actionable insights, you will contribute to building a more data-driven and performance-oriented management culture across the organization.
