Market + Benefits
We are offering you the opportunity to join a fast-growing high-tech manufacturing company with operations across Canada and the United States. You will become part of an innovative organization where the finance function plays a strategic role in supporting the company's continued growth. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, you will work alongside a hands-on leader who values open communication, collaboration, and team autonomy. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced environment where continuous improvement, innovation, and teamwork are at the core of the organization's culture. This position is offered in a hybrid work model.
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a key role within the finance team by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information while actively contributing to the continuous improvement of accounting processes. You will participate in the monthly close process by preparing journal entries, accruals, and month-end adjustments, while ensuring the accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations and the timely resolution of variances. You will also help maintain the integrity of the balance sheet in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment by performing detailed validations and financial analyses to ensure the quality and reliability of financial reporting.
A significant portion of the role will focus on enhancing accounting processes, internal controls, and overall ways of working. Working closely with the Assistant Controller, you will contribute to optimizing reconciliations, automating manual tasks, standardizing processes, and implementing best practices that improve operational efficiency. You will be encouraged to challenge existing processes, perform in-depth analyses, and recommend practical solutions that strengthen the performance of the finance function.
The position also includes a strong operational component. You will collaborate closely with the Accounting and FP&A teams to ensure the consistency and integrity of financial data, perform a variety of financial analyses, assist with tax-related matters, and provide financial support to cross-functional teams based on evolving business priorities. In addition, you will be involved in managing multi-currency transactions and preparing documentation required for external audits.
You will thrive in a fast-paced environment where many processes are still being developed and formalized. This role is well suited for a self-driven, curious, and proactive professional who can quickly understand complex processes, analyze data in depth, prioritize effectively, and identify opportunities for improvement even when processes are not yet fully defined.
Finally, this position offers excellent long-term growth potential. Based on the successful candidate's strengths, interests, and career aspirations, responsibilities may evolve over time to maximize both individual contribution and professional development within the organization.
We are seeking a bilingual candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and 3 to 6 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or a similar role. Hands-on experience with balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and the full month-end close process is essential. A CPA designation and previous experience in a manufacturing environment are considered strong assets.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized professional with strong analytical skills and a commitment to accuracy.
