Description

A fast-growing SME in the pharmaceutical and manufacturing industry, established since the 1990s, is looking for a rare gem to join its team. You will work as a Financial Controller and report to a manager who is an accomplished scientist with an impressive intellectual background and high expectations. As Financial Controller, you will take full ownership of the accounting function and become a true strategic pillar within the organization. You will supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering their development while implementing rigorous and efficient practices. You will be responsible for all general accounting activities: coordinating the budgeting process and monitoring financial forecasts; overseeing billing, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and benefits; managing inventory and cash flow; ensuring compliance with government remittances and tax obligations; leading month-end and year-end closings; and strengthening internal controls.

You will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, analyze results, and present them clearly to management and external auditors. With your strong analytical mindset, you will review cost structures and maintain tight cost controls to support profitability and informed decision-making. You will also play an active role in preparing documentation required for financing initiatives or equipment acquisitions, contributing directly to the company’s growth projects.

In addition, you will manage corporate insurance files and related administrative contracts, while maintaining professional and constructive relationships with clients and suppliers regarding accounts payable and receivable matters. Driven by continuous improvement, you will optimize and enhance the reliability of accounting and financial processes. Through your leadership, rigor, and strategic vision, you will serve as a trusted and indispensable business partner to senior management.

Profile

Bilingual candidate with a minimum of three years of relevant experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment. You are a motivating leader who knows how to delegate effectively while remaining present to coach, support, and develop your team. You understand that strong performance is built on trust, clear expectations, and continuous skill development. You are committed to fostering a positive work environment that drives engagement and long-term team retention.

 

Highly detail-oriented and rigorous, you have a thorough command of all accounting processes and ensure they are executed with consistency and accuracy. Month-end closings hold no secrets for you—you prepare and oversee them methodically, meeting deadlines and ensuring the integrity of financial data.
