As a Director, you will serve as both a technical expert and a strategic advisor to a client base composed primarily of entrepreneurs in the construction industry. You will play a leadership role within the team by mentoring, engaging, and developing team members while ensuring the quality of analyses, promoting knowledge sharing, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will also oversee the most complex surety engagements and act as a key resource for both the team and business partners.

 

You will be responsible for analyzing annual and interim financial statements, along with various supporting financial documents, to assess companies' ability to obtain surety bonds, particularly in pre-transaction and post-transaction environments. You will develop an in-depth understanding of your clients' business models, corporate structures, and financial challenges by evaluating consolidations, joint ventures, minority interests, and risk factors that extend beyond traditional financial ratios. Your expertise will enable you to assess complex financial structures, identify key areas of risk, and recommend the most appropriate strategies to maximize your clients' bonding capacity. You will be involved in the organization's most complex files and will contribute to strategic decisions regarding their placement with surety providers.

Regular meetings with clients will allow you to build long-term relationships and gain a thorough understanding of their operations, challenges, and strategic objectives, enabling you to provide support that goes far beyond traditional financial analysis. Your expertise will enable you to assess complex financial structures, identify key risk factors, and recommend the most appropriate strategies to maximize your clients' bonding capacity. You will be involved in the organization's most complex engagements and will contribute to strategic decisions regarding the placement of these accounts with surety providers.

 

You will work closely with team members to coordinate surety requests and place files with the most appropriate providers. You will also contribute to business development initiatives by supporting the growth of the client portfolio, maintaining strong relationships with market partners, and identifying new business opportunities. Finally, you will ensure compliance with the organization's policies and procedures while actively contributing to the continuous improvement of practices, technology tools, and client service.

Profile

Holding a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or an equivalent field, you have a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in financial analysis, commercial lending, financing, banking services, surety, or a related field. You are recognized for your ability to analyze complex financial situations, understand business models, assess risk, and develop solutions tailored to your clients' needs. You possess advanced Excel skills and have a strong command of the Microsoft Office suite. You also demonstrate a keen interest in artificial intelligence, process automation, and continuous improvement. Experience within the construction industry would be considered an asset.

 

You are known for your ability to influence others, exercise sound business judgment, and quickly establish credibility with entrepreneurs, surety providers, and financial partners. You enjoy serving as a technical expert, making decisions in complex situations, and supporting the development and growth of your team members.
