We offer you the opportunity to join a large, well-established Quebec-based manufacturing company as a Senior Financial Analyst, Sales Accounting. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in managing the revenue cycle, working closely with the Director of Sales Accounting. You will be responsible for analyzing sales profitability, including Millnet and contribution margins. You will actively participate in the preparation and validation of annual and quarterly sales and transportation budgets, while monitoring monthly financial results, conducting variance analyses, and providing recommendations to improve financial performance.
With a focus on continuous improvement, you will develop analytical and decision-support tools addressing key business areas such as pricing, distribution costs, inventory management, and operational risks. You will contribute to the automation and optimization of financial processes and systems, particularly across the entire Order-to-Cash cycle, from order placement to cash collection, in close collaboration with IT teams. You will also ensure data integrity by identifying and resolving discrepancies at their source, while recommending appropriate financial controls to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
You will act as a true business partner to sales, operations, and financial controlling teams, providing financial and operational analyses, key performance indicators (KPIs), and management reports. You will also provide analytical support related to transportation expenses, claims, and inventory management to facilitate informed business decision-making.
Finally, you will actively contribute to various initiatives aimed at improving systems, reporting tools, and financial processes to support the operational and strategic needs of the business divisions you serve.
You hold a CPA designation and have 3 to 5 years of experience in finance or management accounting, ideally in a similar role. Bilingual in French and English, you demonstrate strong business acumen, excellent analytical skills, and advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (experience with JD Edwards, SQL, macros, and Power BI is considered an asset). Independent, proactive, and creative, you demonstrate leadership, effectively prioritize tasks, and propose practical solutions. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you are able to build strong relationships across teams and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and constantly evolving environment.
