Description

We are offering you the opportunity to join a global leader in professional services, risk management, and financial services as a Financial Analyst. Recognized for its expertise and sustained growth, the organization stands out for its deeply rooted people-oriented, entrepreneurial, and family-driven culture, where long-term relationships with both employees and clients are a top priority. You will thrive in a collaborative environment that offers exceptional stability, very low employee turnover, and genuine opportunities for professional growth. You will report directly to the Senior Vice President, a leader who is very well known to Cielo and with whom we have maintained an excellent business relationship for more than fifteen years. Recognized for his approachable leadership style, he places great emphasis on coaching, knowledge sharing, and talent development. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a rapidly growing organization offering a stimulating environment, diverse challenges, meaningful career advancement opportunities, and a hybrid work model.

As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in managing a portfolio of surety clients, performing financial analyses, and presenting files to surety providers. Acting as a trusted business advisor, you will support entrepreneurs by helping them secure the surety solutions that best align with their financial position and growth objectives.

You will be responsible for analyzing annual and interim financial statements, along with various supporting documents, to assess companies' ability to obtain surety bonds, particularly in pre-transaction and post-transaction environments. You will develop an in-depth understanding of your clients' business models, corporate structures, and financial challenges by evaluating consolidations, joint ventures, minority interests, and risk factors that extend beyond traditional financial ratios. Your analysis will enable you to provide sound recommendations and effectively support the decision-making process of surety providers.

You will prepare, structure, and present surety submissions while serving as the primary point of contact between clients, surety companies, and financial institutions. You will advise clients on optimizing their financial position and help identify appropriate solutions when challenges arise, including refinancing strategies, additional collateral arrangements, asset revaluations, bank comfort letters, co-surety arrangements, and improvements to their capital structure.

You will manage a portfolio of assigned clients by providing responsive, high-quality, and personalized advisory services. Regular meetings with clients will allow you to develop long-term relationships and gain a thorough understanding of their operations, challenges, and strategic objectives, enabling you to provide support that goes far beyond traditional financial analysis. In essence, you will become a trusted advisor to entrepreneurs, developing a comprehensive understanding of their vision, growth strategy, business plans, and operating models to help them achieve their objectives.

You will work closely with team members to coordinate surety requests and place files with the most appropriate providers. You will also contribute to business development initiatives by supporting the growth of the client portfolio, maintaining strong relationships with market partners, and identifying new business opportunities. Finally, you will ensure compliance with the organization's policies and procedures while actively contributing to the continuous improvement of practices, technology tools, and client service.

This position represents an excellent opportunity for a CPA currently working in public accounting and serving clients in the construction, engineering, or large-scale project management sectors within the mid-market segment. It is particularly well suited to professionals seeking to transition into a more strategic role focused on advisory services, business relationships, and financial risk management. While the position shares certain similarities with commercial lending, the key distinction is that you will act as a trusted advisor to entrepreneurs, helping them prepare and present their files to multiple surety providers in order to secure the best possible solution for their businesses.

Profile

Holding a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or an equivalent field, you have at least five years of relevant experience in financial analysis, commercial lending, financing, banking services, surety, or a related area. You possess strong analytical skills and a proven ability to interpret financial statements, understand business models, and assess companies' financial performance and overall financial position. You have advanced proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Office suite. You also demonstrate a strong interest in artificial intelligence and the continuous automation of business processes. Experience within the construction industry would be considered an asset.

Recognized for your analytical mindset, consultative approach, and strong interpersonal skills, you inspire confidence and excel at building long-term relationships with clients and business partners. Rigorous, autonomous, and highly organized, you are comfortable managing multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines. Curious and business-oriented, you enjoy developing solutions tailored to your clients' specific needs. Finally, you are seeking to join an organization that offers strong growth opportunities and provides a clear path toward future leadership responsibilities.
