Description

We have an outstanding opportunity for you to join one of Québec's largest manufacturers and a North American leader in its industry as a Plant Controller. Recognized for its operational excellence, collaborative culture, and commitment to employee development, the organization offers a dynamic environment where continuous improvement, innovation, and performance are at the heart of its success. You will report directly to the Plant Manager, a leader currently overseeing the integration of two manufacturing facilities following a strategic merger. This transformation presents a unique opportunity to play a key role in harmonizing processes, optimizing operations, and supporting the continued evolution of a growing manufacturing site. The position is offered on a hybrid work model.

As the Plant Controller, you will serve as a trusted business partner to Operations by ensuring the integrity of financial information and actively contributing to the plant's overall performance. As a member of the plant leadership team, you will play a strategic role by providing meaningful financial analysis, influencing business decisions, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of inventory accounting, fixed assets, cost accounting, and operating expenses, while overseeing the integrity of the month-end close process. You will prepare and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), variance analyses, and financial results to support business decisions and drive operational profitability.

Working closely with production leaders and cross-functional business partners, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes, support change management initiatives, and help optimize the plant's financial practices. Your ability to build trusted relationships on the production floor, understand operational challenges, and positively influence stakeholders will be critical to your success.

You will also maintain a strong internal control environment by ensuring compliance with corporate policies, mitigating operational and fraud risks, and promoting best practices in financial, accounting, and administrative management.

Finally, this role combines strong analytical responsibilities with a highly visible operational presence and strategic involvement in plant decision-making, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an environment where continuous improvement and business partnership are central to success.

You are a finance professional with 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role. A CPA designation is considered an asset. Recognized for your analytical mindset, maturity, and attention to detail, you act as a trusted business partner by providing meaningful financial insights and practical recommendations that support informed decision-making. Comfortable working in complex environments, you possess strong expertise in Excel, ERP systems, and financial controls, while demonstrating a high level of accountability and professionalism.

With strong emotional intelligence and excellent interpersonal skills, you build trusted relationships with both management and operations teams. You are able to positively influence stakeholders on the production floor, foster cross-functional collaboration, and actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational and financial performance.
