In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial activities of the organization, including general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll. You will ensure the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, as well as various financial reports for management to support decision-making and ensure accurate and timely financial information.

 

A significant portion of the role will focus on project accounting and work-in-progress (WIP) management. In this capacity, you will monitor project costs, analyze variances, control budgets and track operational profitability. You will actively contribute to optimizing cost control processes in order to improve operational efficiency and the company’s financial performance.

 

You will also play a key role in developing the organization’s financial structure and reporting capabilities. You will contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of financial management tools, performance indicators, budgeting and forecasting processes. You will be expected to analyze financial results, revise forecasts and provide strategic recommendations to management.

 

The position also includes a strong systems and process improvement component. You will participate in the optimization of existing financial tools as well as system implementation and enhancement projects, particularly within the SAGE environment, with a focus on automation, standardization and operational efficiency.

 

You will supervise and support the accounting and administrative team by promoting a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and accountability. You will ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, maintain effective internal controls and oversee adherence to tax and regulatory requirements.

 

Finally, you will coordinate external audits and act as the main point of contact for external auditors, while also ensuring sound treasury management and providing financial support to operations and various departments across the organization.

Profile

Bilingual CPA with more than 5 years of experience in financial control and accounting management within dynamic and growing environments. You possess strong expertise in the full accounting cycle, treasury management, work-in-progress (WIP) monitoring, as well as financial control in a multi-project environment. Experience in the construction industry is considered a strong asset.

 

Recognized for your engaging leadership style and collaborative approach, you are able to supervise, develop and motivate teams while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial operations. You possess strong accounting and tax knowledge, along with an excellent ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding operational environment.

 

Comfortable with technology tools and ERP systems, you have contributed to the implementation and optimization of financial systems, which represents a major asset for this role. Analytical, structured and results-oriented, you are able to provide practical recommendations to support the organization’s financial and operational performance.
