Description

Great opportunity to join a growing SME as an Assistant Controller within a company recognized as a leader in the construction industry. You will report to the Director of Finance, a collaborative leader focused on team development, whom we have had the pleasure of placing. In this role, you will play a key part in the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages, both internal and external, while managing the full accounting cycle, including month-end close for multiple entities.

 

You will also contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of internal controls, aligned with the company’s growth and increasing operational complexity.

 

In addition, you will be responsible for preparing annual audit files for multiple entities, as well as handling government remittances (payroll deductions and sales taxes).

 

Finally, you will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and the accuracy and integrity of financial information. This is a strong opportunity to join a fast-growing organization and play a tangible role in building and strengthening its finance function.

Profile

Bilingual candidate with approximately 5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting. We are seeking an individual recognized for strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage priorities. With solid leadership capabilities and a strong analytical mindset, you demonstrate rigor, autonomy, and a high attention to detail. A CPA designation is considered an asset.
