Description

Our client, a financially strong company in the services sector, is seeking a Controller. You will report directly to the CFO, a friendly manager who is a true mentor and remains flexible. You will enjoy a positive work environment, as the company promotes a very people-focused culture. The position is offered in a hybrid format.

You will play a central role in the company’s financial transformation by overseeing the implementation and optimization of financial systems and business processes. As a business partner to IT, you will manage and evolve the ERP, recommend and implement technological tools, and prepare departmental policies and procedures while supporting and training accounting talent through these changes. You will be the go-to reference for overall system and reporting understanding and support operational teams in explaining budget variances and producing reliable financial information.

In the accounting and control area, you will supervise operational accounting teams, plan month-end and year-end close, and ensure adherence to internal controls. You will actively participate in the preparation of monthly financial statements, forecasts, and budgets for subsidiaries, as well as in the deployment of organizational dashboards and integration of acquisitions within the TCJ Group. You will also play a key role in coordinating teams, particularly for billing, collections, and sensitive operations such as trust accounts, while providing support to FP&A and liaising with stakeholders on complex financial matters.

With approximately 20% of your time devoted to leadership, you will coach and develop your team, promote adoption of new practices, and foster a collaborative spirit to ensure financial performance and achievement of strategic objectives.

Profile

Bilingual CPA with a minimum of 10 years of experience, including several years in the services industry, with strong expertise in the full accounting cycle and experience preparing annual financial statements. You have also been a super-user or participated in ERP implementation and possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with desirable knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, and Power Pivot.

You have a strong interest in artificial intelligence systems, robotics, and automation, and you are able to organize your time, set priorities, and solve problems effectively while quickly learning new technologies. You excel in talent management and development, as well as in driving change within your team.
