Are you looking for a strategic role within a well-established and fast-growing manufacturing company located in the West Island of Montreal? We have an exciting opportunity for you to step into an FP&A Manager position within the Quebec division of an international group at the forefront of technology. In your first months, you will take the time to fully understand the company, its financial processes, and how information flows. You will be exposed to forecasts that are still largely manual in Excel and will need to quickly master the specifics of government contracts as well as the percentage-of-completion revenue recognition method— a key element for the accuracy of forecasts.
You will be responsible for monthly results and financial forecasts, analyzing and challenging team assumptions regarding revenues, margins, cash flows, and operating costs. You will take full ownership of the numbers, ensure follow-ups with head office, and propose concrete solutions to meet the set objectives.
Your role will also involve building strong relationships with managers and engineers, visiting the plant to gain a real understanding of operational realities, and participating in the coordination of annual processes, including budgets, R&D tax credits, and tax obligations. In the longer term, you will contribute to strategic projects such as the integration of acquired companies, system harmonization, and the implementation of best practices, thereby solidifying your role as a key partner to both operational and financial teams.
A bilingual CPA with a minimum of 10 years of experience, including expertise in IFRS, forecasting, and large corporations within a manufacturing environment. You have in-depth knowledge of management accounting, financial forecasting, and analytical modeling, as well as excellent proficiency with IT tools, particularly spreadsheets and financial modeling. You are recognized for your strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as your rigor in planning and organization, enabling you to deliver high-quality results within required deadlines. Independent and able to work under pressure, you also demonstrate strong initiative, business acumen, and a constant desire to learn. Your bilingualism, both spoken and written, is essential for this role.
