As Financial Controller, you will oversee the full spectrum of accounting and financial operations. This includes managing cash flow, liquidity, and working capital, while ensuring the optimal use of financial resources. You will be responsible for the preparation, analysis, and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards. You will also supervise accounting entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger activities, maintaining high standards of rigor and control.
You will play a key role in budgeting, cost tracking, and variance analysis, while contributing to financial forecasting and overall performance monitoring. You will ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, including sales taxes, payroll remittances, customs obligations, and government filings, including Statistics Canada.
You will oversee accounts payable and payment processes, manage intercompany transactions, and support project-related accounting activities. You will also contribute to inventory counts and sales performance analysis.
Acting as a business partner, you will advise management on opportunities to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and the strength of financial controls. Finally, you will be actively involved in optimizing processes, procedures, and financial tools, as well as supporting the year-end close process.
Candidate with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment or project-based setting. A CPA designation is a strong asset. We are seeking a structured and composed individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex information clearly. A collaborative team player, you are a motivating leader who has a solid grasp of end-to-end accounting processes and ensures their consistent and accurate execution.
