For an international SME in the specialized food industry that is growing rapidly and makes between one (1) and three (3) acquisitions per year, you will work as a Financial Information Manager and report to the Director of Finance. The Finance Director is very bright, results oriented, knows how to position herself as a coach to help her team evolve and opts for a participative management. We know her because we have already worked with her. You will join a young and dynamic team in a great company where human values are very important.
You will be responsible for consolidating the financial statements and monthly internal reports and analyzing the financial performance of the company and communicating the information to the various department managers. In addition, you will consolidate the quarterly and annual public financial statements as well as the notes to the company's financial statements in accordance with IFRS. You will prepare documentation related to consolidation, cash flows, notes to financial statements, non-controlling interest calculations and ensure that controls are in place. You will work closely with senior management on all financial aspects of the business including the accuracy of the financial statements and ensure that the financial information is communicated to the public. You will participate in the year-end and annual audit process in collaboration with the external auditors and be responsible for internal controls. You will implement work improvement processes to increase the efficiency and accuracy of data entry and dissemination within the company. In addition, you will coordinate with the tax professionals on quarterly and annual tax accruals and tax bill and oversee regulatory obligations that include tax planning and compliance. You will manage the relationship with the government for GST and QST audits and assessment files. You will be involved in the transfer pricing project with the VP Finance and external tax specialists for the entire company. Finally, you will have to set up and maintain with the help of external tax specialists the database and consumption tax file for all the products of the company and its subsidiaries.
Bilingual CPA, 4 to 6 years experience in a similar position in finance, has a thorough knowledge of IFRS, has good knowledge of ERP software and is proficient in Microsoft Offices 365. The desired candidate is a positive and engaging leader, has good interpersonal skills, is able to adapt in a fast-growing environment, has excellent oral and written communication skills and is able to work effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines.
