A well-known international financial institution is looking for a Financial Manager to join their team. The incumbent will report to an approachable, outgoing manager who likes proactive people and takes the time to follow up with their teams regularly.  You will work with a very diverse team of young, bright and dynamic people. In this position, you will be responsible for the presentation of the reporting package and financial statements to the Board and senior management. You will have to know the financial instruments, the standards, the MD&A in order to support the team as needed. You will analyze the various reports and review the work of the team to ensure that the right information is relayed to the head office. In addition, you will provide financial analysis that will contribute to strategic decision making.

You will work on various projects including: the implementation of new regulations or legal requirements requested by the group, the implementation of new IFRS standards (9 or 16) and by next year you will be working on a major project to change the general ledger. You will be responsible for communicating and presenting the results of the various analyses to the global head office, as well as to the subsidiaries located in Europe and the United States, and you will follow up with the team located in Asia. You will manage the Montreal teams and finally you will ensure the improvement of the processes.


This position is a great opportunity that will give you visibility. You will lead initiatives to continuously improve and automate processes. Finally, you will also supervise two people and write policies.  



Bilingual CPA, 7-12 years of accounting experience, experience in IFRS, financial analysis in a firm or financial institution and has advanced knowledge of Excel.  The ideal candidate will have good communication and presentation skills, be results oriented and proactive.
