Our client, a large public company in the marketing industry with large and growing global clients, is looking for a Director of Financial Reporting. You will be reporting to a well-liked and friendly VP Finance who trusts his team and allows them flexibility. He communicates very well and is approachable. In addition to having beautiful offices, the company is constantly improving and growing, given its multiple acquisition projects. The position is offered remotely.


As Director, Financial Reporting, you will be responsible for the production, review and management of the company's financial statements and financial information on a global basis, as well as being responsible for various financial reports for banking, government, transactional and other purposes. You will also supervise and review the consolidation process in a multi-currency context, prepare technical memos on various accounting topics and ensure financial statement compliance. You will ensure compliance with provincial, federal, Canadian and U.S. tax requirements, as well as compliance with international transfer pricing rules. Moreover, you will be responsible for managing the internal, external and government audit processes. This is a great opportunity to take on a key role in a large company where you will act as a resource person to the parent company and have a good impact on the processes. You will develop and implement processes following the implementation of a new accounting and management system. You will also define and present performance indicators to the Financial Directors, Controller and CFO. You will supervise and develop a team of 3 accounting professionals and participate in various accounting and financial projects by acting as a leader.


Bilingual CPA with a minimum of 8 years experience in a firm, SME or large compagny, with good experience with ERP systems and management. The candidate must have good knowledge of multi-currency and complex consolidation, in addition to being very comfortable with financial statements. We are looking for a candidate who can thrive in a large public company environment. The ideal candidate is able to make good presentations to senior management, is a team player and is a self-starter who wants to grow within a great company.
