We have the perfect opportunity for you to work as an Accounts Receivable Manager in a publicly traded multinational company in the manufacturing sector. As the Accounts Receivable Manager, you will lead, coach, and develop the Accounts Receivable team and provide training and development to new hires. You will process credit applications for new customers and manage credit of existing customers, as well as bring improvements to the company’s accounts receivable function, including the reduction of average days outstanding and the minimization of bad debts. In addition, you will be responsible to prepare detailed analysis of customer aging at month-end and provide commentary to management as well as to prepare supporting schedules for month-end and perform balance sheet reconciliations as they relate to the A/R function. You will also assist in the preparation of monthly reports to financial institutions in satisfaction of the company’s bank covenants. Moreover, you will work cross functionally with the Sales, the Customer Service, the Project Management and the Finance teams in order to actively work to reduce overdue amounts. This will include sensitizing and motivating other departments to take actions on such issues as the resolution of impediments to payment (documentation, technical issues, LD claims) with the ultimate goal to reduce overdue amounts. You will expand the use of credit insurance both in North America as well as the company’s foreign subsidiaries in Europe and Asia. Where credit insurance is not available, you will advise on mechanisms such as advance payment terms to minimize risk. Finally, you will manage the company’s bank guarantees and letters of credit function.


As part of the greater Treasury function, you will have an opportunity to participate in other projects outside the A/R function including but not limited to cash management, taxation, financing, and banking, as well as insurance and foreign exchange risk management. Bilingual candidate with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, with excellent analytical skills and financial understanding as well as an advanced level of Excel. We are looking for a candidate with good communication skills, a great personality and drive. He/she will be entrepreneurial and able to explain his/her point of view.They will be ambitious, resourceful and motivated to make a difference and progress in a great company. Experience in the manufacturing industry and a CPA designation are assets.
