A large international publicly traded company in the mining sector is looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to join their team. You will report to a corporate controller who Cielo knows very well from previous experience, who is very transparent, calm, and goal-oriented. He is the opposite of a micro-manager, giving latitude and autonomy and advocating organization and progression. The company is still growing, given a recent large acquisition. As the Financial Reporting Manager, you will supervise the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and disclosures as well as lead group consolidation. You will also be responsible to participate in the year‐end audit and the preparation of audited financial statements, as well as to supervise monthly financial statements, certain accounting entries and account reconciliations. Moreover, you will prepare technical memorandums for transactions and new accounting guidance, as well as prepare and update accounting policy documents, as needed. Within your role, you will be the expert on US GAAP, with a focus on providing advice and guidance on all technical accounting matters and preparation of documentation on the accounting assessment. You will also execute internal controls with respect to financial policies, processes and procedures, as well as support statutory filings. Finally, you will supervise the accounts payable department and perform other responsibilities as required.

Bilingual CPA, with at least 7 years of relevant experience, ideally experience in a public company. We are looking for a candidate with an entrepreneurial profile, who has experience in internal controls, team management and MD&A. The candidate must be resourceful, versatile and have excellent organizational skills.  The successful candidate will be a team player with the ability to quickly establish good interpersonal relationships.
