For a large international company that has been growing rapidly for the past three years and that specializes in the technology and logistics industry, you will work as a Financial Information Analyst. You will report to a results-oriented manager who makes sure to keep her door open to help her teams grow. She is a great communicator and enjoys giving and receiving feedback. You will be joining a fairly young team in a fast-paced environment where collaboration, respect, teamwork and humility are key. You will have the opportunity to work in project mode, given the company's international expansion and the new processes that will need to be put in place.
As the Financial Information Analyst, you will be responsible to prepare consolidation spreadsheet, the monthly consolidation financial statements including the cash flow statement, as well as internal reports, as well as to assist the preparation of quarterly MD&A and financial statements including the notes within timelines. Moreover, you will perform controls relating to the production of financial information, prepare supporting documentation and prepare complex month-end journal entries which may include intercompany recharges, fixed asset depreciation, leases, accruals, prepaid amortization, stock-based compensation, accounting netting and derivative reporting. You will also analyze balance sheet and income statement variances and provide insightful commentary with appropriate business context. Furthermore, you will ensure IFRS compliance when comes to book closing and reporting processes, participate in the monthly closing of general ledgers, prepare information required for the year-end audit and propose innovations which contribute to the improvement of financial processes. You will also get to participate and be an ambassador of change management, and this will be related to your involvement in the various initiatives⁄ projects underway. You will also have the opportunity to intervene in the optimization of business processes through your organizational skills. Finally, you will offer support related to ad hoc investigations that may be required by certain stakeholders or other members of the finance team.
You will also have the opportunity to build a great network of contacts as you will be in communication with both external and internal parties.
Fully bilingual CPA/CPA Auditor with a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position in industry, with multi-currency and IFRS/public reporting. Experience with complex accounting, financial instruments and advanced Excel skills are required. We are looking for a candidate with a great dynamic personality. The candidate will be results oriented, bright and willing to put in the work to contribute to the success of a great company. Experience in a Big4 firm is a strong asset.
