Our client, a large publicly traded company in the pharmaceutical industry, is looking for a Financial Analyst to join its dynamic team. As a Financial Analyst, you will coordinate with different stakeholders and perform various Long-Range Planning (LRP) analyses to establish long-term goals and strategy that will help the organization. You will support the R&D department through pro forma analysis of project costs and ensure that projects are appropriately prioritized based on current and future funding resources, in addition to participating in the preparation of business models. Under the guidance of the CFO, you will build out / improve LRP templates and you will also analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support. Moreover, you will be responsible to prepare the annual budget and quarterly cash forecast updates, as well as to evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with budget & forecasts and prior year results (make recommendations for improvements). You will also maintain internal controls and procedures in place in line with corporate policies and TSX and NASDAQ requirements, make recommendations for improvements, work closely with an internal auditor (external consultant) as well as provide guidance and training to employees to ensure proper adherence to internal controls and procedures throughout the company. Furthermore, you will participate in the monthly financial reporting process, assist in the preparation of consolidated quarterly public financial reporting and work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting. Within your position, you will be able to assist the VP Finance and the Controller in various finance and accounting related tasks and increase productivity by suggesting and developing automated or work tools. Finally, you will participate in special projects.


Perfectly bilingual candidate with a minimum of 3 years experience, including experience in a firm or industry, who is very comfortable with IT and Excel. We are looking for a candidate with drive, confidence and excellent communication skills. The candidate must be able to create dashboards and make presentations. The ideal candidate is thorough, diligent, organized and detail-oriented. Holding a CPA designation is an asset.
