For an international SME in the manufacturing industry that is growing and making between one (1) and three (3) acquisitions per year, you will work as a Financial Analyst. You will report to a manager that Cielo knows and who promotes teamwork and collaboration while keeping an open door at all times. You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The position is currently offered in person.
As a financial analyst, you will be involved in the preparation of financial information (period ends, financial statements, consolidation and reporting), financial analysis and projects (IFRS, SAP implementation, post-acquisition integration, etc.). You will be responsible for supporting the sectors and corporate services for complex accounting issues, preparing internal memos related to the application of IFRS standards or internal policies to various transactions and taking charge of various special projects including the impact of standards on acquisitions. Moreover, you will participate in the development of the company's accounting policies and manage the process from development to implementation, provide internal training on the application of IFRS and review, research and document new accounting standards (IFRS) as well as present them to the Finance Director. You will be responsible for quarterly and annual reviews of financial statements and participate in the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated public statements and documentation of notes to financial statements. Furthermore, you will prepare the entries for the various stock-based compensation plans for the accountants, assemble the quarterly and annual report on the company's shareholders' equity, and review complex revenue transactions to determine and present the appropriate accounting treatment to management.
You will have the opportunity to suggest and make changes to preliminary policies that will provide beneficial accounting treatments for the company. You will gain an in-depth knowledge of the group and its subsidiaries to highlight transactions or events that have an accounting impact on financial reporting. You will be a good resource person for changes by presenting to internal clients and management conclusions on the impact of any changes required as a result of a change in accounting standards.
Bilingual CPA, CA, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, with good skills of Office 365 and a thorough knowledge of IFRS standards. Knowledge of ERP software is an asset. The desired candidate is a positive and engaging leader, has good interpersonal skills, is able to adapt in a fast-growing environment, has excellent oral and written communication skills and is able to work effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines. We are looking for a candidate who thinks about improvement and has a good spirit of collaboration.
