Our client, a small business in the service and education sector is looking for a Chief Financial Officer. The CFO will be the right hand of the President who is very experienced, honest, communicates regularly with her teams and is very team oriented. The position is currently offered on a telecommuting basis, but this may change in the future.


As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the preparation and publication of annual, quarterly and monthly financial reports to internal and external stakeholders. You will manage the financial forecasting and budgeting processes and advise on long-term business and financial planning. You will provide leadership, direction and management to the finance and accounting team. In addition, you will implement an organizational structure for the finance department to cover the financial operations of the group in a smooth and efficient manner. You will make strategic financial recommendations to the CEO/President and members of the executive team. You will develop and implement key financial indicators to provide a relevant picture to management as well as seamless access to the information needed to make strategic decisions at all levels of the organization. You will develop and implement financial processes, policies and procedures at the Group level. You will also develop, manage and coach the finance team effectively. Finally, you will ensure a clear definition of responsibilities for each team member and be responsible for conducting employee performance reviews, in close collaboration with HR.

Bilingual CPA (asset) with a minimum of 7 years of related experience in the education sector (asset) and good knowledge of Microsoft Office. The ideal candidate is a team player, intrapreneur who has leadership skills and wants to make things happen.
